Walk-In Contraceptive Services
Get all your contraceptive care in one place: the 62nd Medical Squadron's walk-in contraceptive clinic, held in partnership with
Madigan Army Medical Center.
All beneficiaries, regardless of gender identity, are eligible for care and counseling at walk-in contraceptive clinics and can receive education on safe sexual practices, contraceptives, and STI prevention and treatment.
Same-day services are available at the
Okubo Soldier-Centered Medical Home on the first, third, and fifth Wednesday of each month, 8 – 11:30 a.m., and at the
Madigan OB/GYN Clinic on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, noon – 3:30 p.m.
Patients can still get contraceptive services at the 62nd Medical Squadron by making an appointment with their Primary Care Manager.
Services Offered
- Group contraceptive counseling
- Individual appointments for contraceptive insertion/removal
- Prescription services
- Prophylactics
- Space-available access for all TRICARE beneficiaries (OB/GYN main clinic only)
How it Works
Interested service members and eligible beneficiaries must check in at the start of clinic hours (8 a.m. for the Okubo Clinic, noon for the OB/GYN Main Clinic). Once checked in, a pregnancy test will be done. The clinic visit consists of group education and counseling, then individual appointments for contraceptive prescriptions or insertion. Service members and beneficiaries should plan on being at the clinic a minimum of two hours.
