Public Health

The Public Health office manages the Deployment Medicine and Occupational Health programs to ensure a healthy and fit Airmen community. Public Health identifies and coordinates required ancillary care, such as immunizations and laboratory services, as well as needed examinations by an occupational provider/specialist.
 
Public Health is no longer the point-of-contact for non-fly PHAs. Patients may schedule non-fly PHAs with the Base Operational Medical Cell by calling 253-982-9952/2169.
 
Deployment Medicine ensures deploying members are medically qualified to deploy, manages all pre/post-deployment medical requirements, and ensures all deploying members are aware of potential health risks in their theater of operation. Deployment Related Health Assessments can be scheduled with BOMC at 253-982-9952/2169. Personnel tasked to deploy by their unit must be loaded into the Deployment Medical Clearance module on ASIMS by their UDM and contact Public Health to initiate a medical checklist.
 
Occupational Health provides workplace hazard education and determines hazard-specific medical screening requirements for military and civilian personnel assigned to industrial workplaces. Additionally, it provides fetal protection education to newly pregnant service members and civilians. Moreover, it provides workplace shop visits in conjunction with Bioenvironmental Engineering to ensure training compliance. Lastly, it manages the Hearing Conservation Program by conducting audiograms for personnel assigned to industrial work centers, flyers, and IFCs (excluding 627th ABG personnel).
 
Audiogram hours are available by appointment only on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8 - 11 a.m.
