The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

If you have a scheduled appointment or other business at the MTF, please verify with your provider or applicable office within the MTF to ensure there are no changes in schedule. To learn how the lapse in appropriations affects your TRICARE benefit, visit www.tricare.mil/shutdown

Health Services

Flight Medicine

The Flight Medicine Clinic provides routine medical care to pilots, navigators, air traffic controllers, flight engineers and all personnel holding a 1042 clearance. After duty hours, flyers should go to the Madigan Army Medical Center Emergency Department. The on-call flight surgeon will be notified of ED visits by flying personnel. Should a flyer be seen in any ER or outside of MAMC, it is their responsibility to notify the flight surgeon as soon as possible by calling the clinic. Flyers may not fly until cleared by a flight surgeon after receiving treatment in the ED or from a provider outside the hospital. For all routine and acute appointments, please call TRICARE at 1-800-404-4506. To schedule a PHA: 10th, 4th, 7th, and 8th AS squadrons contact block scheduling; all other flyers call the clinic number to get scheduled.
