Civilian provider prescriptions are taken from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Refills are available through a phone-in refill system and should be picked up at the refill window. Listen to the automated message for changes in hours of operation and other important pharmacy information.

TRICARE Pharmacy Program

TRICARE Formulary Search Tool

Use the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool to look-up your drug. A search can tell you:

  • Formulary status (generic drug, brand-name drug, non-formulary drug, non-covered drug)
  • Where the prescription can be filled
  • Copayments and limitations, such as prior authorization
  • Coverage review requirements and forms
  • Alternative medications, including costs

To start your search, you’ll need to put in the brand name or generic name of the drug and then select the strength prescribed, as well as your sex and age.

Refill options

Call our refill line at 253-893-8804 option #5 to request your prescription. Please allow 7 days to process the refill. Pharmacy staff will let you know when your medications will be ready for pick-up. Refill hours: Can be called at any time.

Last ticket at 3 p.m.

New or Renewal prescription options

  1. Text “Get in Line” to 833-270-8758 and follow the prompts carefully. Your prescription will be ready for pick-up 24 hours after activation. Please pull a “return for pick-up” ticket when you arrive. *Note McChord clinic will only be listed as a pick up site during kiosk hours 0830-1500.
  2. Patient portal. Send messages via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to: “JBLM MADIGAN MAIN OUTPATIENT PHARMACY” to activate your prescription. Please allow 24 hours for these requests. Patient Portal Service Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  3. Call the Pharmacy Call Center at 253-968-2586 option #6 to speak with pharmacy staff to activate your prescription. Pharmacy staff will let you know when your medications will be ready for pick-up. Call Center Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  4. Pharmacy Lobby walk-in. Kiosk hours 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Select activate prescription and follow instructions. Please allow 24 hours to process the request. When you return the following day, you will select a “return for pick-up ticket”.
  5. Same day medication fills are only for acute care needs. Minimum processing time is 1 business day, please plan accordingly.
